Brandon Case and Patrick Thirion, Chef-Owners of Peel Wood Fired Pizza in Edwardsville, Illinois are thrilled to announce that Peel has been named Best New Restaurant 2011 by St. Louis Magazine. Peel was from more than 200 new independently owned restaurants that opened in the St. Louis region over the last two years. Only 25 restaurants are named to this prestigious category each year. Honored in Local Area's Reader's Picks

Recently, we were honored to accept awards from Sauce Magazine's 2011 Reader's Choice Poll for 3rd place for Favorite New Restaurant and Favorite Pizza Non-St. Louis Style. Our chefs were honored to be the only Illinois restaurant asked to participate at the Sauce Soiree...an awards night hosted by the magazine for over 1,000 attendees. Participants sampled our Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese, Baby Spinach Salad and six types of desserts.

Later that same month, Peel was also recognized on St. Louis Magazine's A-List for Best Dine-In Pizza.

A dry hopped Belgian style Pale Ale which defies tradition by combining Pacific Northwest hops and American malts with Belgian yeast. Enjoy the earthy hop aroma, spicy yeast character and slight organie notes throughout the beer.

 

Sam Adams Tasman Red
Boston, Massachusetts

Bold and lively with the grapefruit, piney and earthy character of Tasmanian hops balanced by a smooth and roasty malt backbone with hints of toffee. This flavorful brew is rounded and smooth with a dry and citrusy hop finish.

 

Peace Offering
St. Louis, Missouri

An American Brown ale brewed with a few hundred pounds of maple-roasted Missouri squash and a dash of cinnamon and clove. This unique brew has a bold, caramel body, and hints of floral, hop bitterness balanced with the savory squash notes.

 

Samuel Adams Alpine Spring

Brewed especially for the season, this bright citrusy unfiltered lager is both satisfying and refreshing. It’s the perfect transition from winter’s heavier brews to the lighter beers of summer. Borne of our brewers’ many trips to Germany, Alpine Spring features a unique blend of lager attributes: the balanced maltiness and hoppiness of a Helles, the smoothness and slightly higher alcohol of a traditional spring bock, and the unfiltered appearance of a Kellerbier. The beer is brewed with Tettnang Noble hops to add a unique, bright orange-citrusy aroma and flavor.
